Start with the product and the monthly volume
Before comparing prep centers, define the work clearly: product type, dimensions and weight, number of units, expected monthly volume, destination marketplace and the physical operations required. Photos of the retail packaging and supplier cartons help identify labelling, protection or repacking needs.
For small products with frequent sales, include the expected units per month. A quote only makes sense when the center knows what arrives, what must be done to each unit and how the finished shipment will leave.
Compare the complete scope, not only the unit price
Ask which operations are included and which are quoted separately. Receiving, quantity checks, basic visual inspection, FNSKU labelling, poly-bagging, bundling, barcode covering, repacking, storage, returns and carrier handover are different tasks. Materials and exceptional handling should be agreed before stock arrives.
A lower unit price is not automatically a lower total cost if the required operations, packaging materials or storage terms are unclear. Compare the same scope with the same product and volume.
Define responsibilities before the first shipment
The seller remains responsible for product data, the Amazon listing, Seller Central decisions and the shipment plan. The prep center performs only the physical operations agreed in advance and needs the correct labels, quantities and instructions from the seller.
Before dispatching stock, confirm the contact person, the required documents, the process for reporting visible damage and the approval needed for any work outside the original scope.
Understand the FBA Champions volume offer
FBA Pinatar publishes a base preparation rate of €0.50 per unit plus VAT for the 100–999 unit tier. The table then applies volume discounts, reaching €0.375 per unit from 3,500 units per month. The applicable rate is adjusted to each client according to the product and preparation scope.
What to send for a useful quotation
Send the product description, dimensions and weight, unit count, expected monthly volume, destination country and the operations you need. Add packaging photos and any special handling information that affects preparation.
